LOVE LETTER SENT TO THE STARS

I once found a message in a glass bottle while walking Aliso Creek beach here in Southern California. You can imagine that I was curious about the message it contained. Which must have been in Carl Sagan's mind when Ann Druyan called him about her break through on the gold record project.

Theirs were messages in two "bottles" traveling a million miles a day, Voyager 2 and Voyager 1, launched in 1977, are now the most distant human engineered objects in space. They each carry a compilation of sounds and images representing our planetary experience on gold records that will last a billion years.
